A Bottle to Remember ~ 2018 Philippe Pacalet Corton-Charlemagne

This week we are featuring a bottle of 2018 Philippe Pacalet Corton-Charlemagne.

Tasting Notes: Bright citrus and white peach leapt from the glass, followed by a savory hint of truffle that lingered beautifully.

Pacalet’s hands-off approach lets the vineyard speak, and in the case of Corton-Charlemagne—a Grand Cru rooted in limestone—it speaks with clarity and grace. This wine is powerful yet weightless, structured yet full of life.

Just Released: Domaine de la Côte La Côte 2023 Pinot Noir

We are thrilled to offer our limited allocation of the 2023 Domaine de la Côte La Côte Pinot Noir ($145/btl), a wine that speaks volumes about place, intention, and restraint.

Perched at 700 feet on a dramatic, southwest-facing slope just 3.5 miles from the Pacific, La Côte is the crown jewel of Rajat Parr and Sashi Moorman’s Sta. Rita Hills estate. The vineyard is a patchwork of marine sediment and ancient diatomaceous earth, farmed biodynamically and harvested by hand. The winemaking is hands-off—100% whole cluster, native fermentation, and élevage in neutral oak—allowing the site to shine through unadorned.
